How To Give

One of the most engaging times of our lives is when we are ready to give generously, to make an impact and to leave a lasting legacy of change.  In doing so, today’s philanthropists soon recognize how important it is to be strategic in that giving – to understand that communities and their challenges are complex and require a measured and intelligent perspective in order to make these gifts effective. The Weston Community Foundation is here to help ensure that you are not just giving your money away, but that you are giving it away well.

We will ensure that your family’s unique vision and values are reflected in your giving.

There are four ways to contribute to the WCF:

1. Designated Fund

You choose specific Weston efforts/organization(s) to support.

2. Donor Advised Fund

You provide a donation with broad parameters regarding how you’d like that donation to be used; and the Weston Community Foundation handles the administration.

3. Discretionary Fund

You donate funds with an open mandate, entrusting the Weston Community Foundation to determine the best uses for those funds through grants utilizing best practices to address current and future challenges in Weston.

4. Legacy Fund

You name the Weston Community Foundation in your estate plans, ensuring a long-term commitment to bettering Weston. These gifts establish a fund in your name, earmarked to meet the changing needs of our community or a fund designed to support a specific cause or charity. A legacy gift is an ideal way to show your commitment to our town and causes you care about.
